Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Fifth Imam of Jamaat Ahmadiyya, correcting the history of Pakistan in his Friday Sermon on 23rd March 2012. It is perhaps no coincidence that historically this date is when Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, (peace and blessings of Allah be Upon him) laid the foundations of the Ahmadiyya Movement and also the same date described as the day when Lahore Resolution was discussed in 1940 laying the basis of Pakistan.

Jamaat Ahmadiyya and Pakistan:
In absolute impartiality and in utmost fairness to all who endeavored for the freedom of the Indian Sub-Continent; ending of the British Rule and Creation of Pakistan would not have become possible as early as 1947 – if Jamaat Ahmadiyya had not done what it DID.
The story begins long before; back in 1906 when All India Muslim League (AIML) was established and Maulvi Muhammad Ali Sahib participated as a founder member in the inception of Muslim League in Punjab after seeking permission of Hadhrat Masihe Maud a.s.
The leadership of All India National Congress (AINC) was experienced and smart enough to understand the tone of the coming days and thus became willing to;
Either, Take the lead on any important occurrence,
OR, Trigger any incidence of public concern,
That could potentially attract the public popularity for AINC.
Foremost examples are that of:-
1919 – 1924 AD – Khilafat Movement;
Wherein Mr. Ghandi took the lead to protect the Muslim Ottoman Caliphate and prompted the Indian Muslims to “Quit India” – as a result of that Indian Count of Muslims reduced and demography tilted adversely.
1919 AD – Jamiat Ulama Hind;
The predominantly major body of Ulama of Deobindi belief was established in November 1919 and Officially Declared its policy to fight for the Freedom of India in support of AINC.
1922 – 1923 AD – Shudhi Tehrik;
Wherein the Malkana Muslims dwelling around Agra and in the UP villages were persuaded to revoke their Muslim Belief.
1928 AD – The Nehru Report;
Mr. Moti Lal Nehru suggested the outline for future constitution of India; rejecting the 14 points of Mr. Jinnah about the electoral rights of Indian Muslims.
1930 AD – Mr. M. A. Jinnah;
Decided to stay in London UK after participating in the round table conference.
===============
With this much in the background, comes the HISTORIC ROLE OF HADHRAT MIRZA BASHIR UDIN MAHMOOD AHMAD, 2nd Caliph of Jamaat Ahmadiyya:-
1. He held public meetings and parlays with political leaders to make the Indian Muslims aware of the risks in Quitting India at the instigation of AINC.
2. He chose to Fight for the Freedom of India in support of AIML.
3. He deputed scores of his Missionaries and Volunteers to live in UP and enlighten the Malkana Muslims about Islamic Teachings and help them take an informed decision for NOT Quitting Islam.
4. He published his Historically Famous “Review of Nehru Report”; which became the book of Political Wisdom for AIML in the years to come.
5. He approached Mr. M. A. Jinnah in London UK through one of his missionaries (Maulana Abdul Rahim Dard Sahib) to persuade him to return to India and lead the Politics of Indian Muslims.
That is how Mr. Jinnah made his Formal Announcement to Return to India in the auspicious prayer hall of Ahmadiyya FAZAL Mosque London – 1934.
6. He accepted to chair the All India Kashmir Committee – 1930; wherein he demanded restoration of civil rights for the Kashmiri Muslims and formulated the principles of the Kashmir Liberation Movement.
“History of Ahmadiyyat in Kashmir” – an official publication of the Jamaat has enough to tell its reader as how various factions struggled to jeopardise the cause of Kashmiri Liberation.
7. He accorded his guidance to Defend the Muslim Cause in the Murder Trial of Raj Pal, the publisher of the infamous book “Rangila Rasool”.
He promulgated a series of public meetings to discuss the Life of Hadhrat Muhammad saw – to reflect upon the people to understand the peaceful teaching of Islam and to live in harmony with other religions.
8. He supported his disciples:-
Syed Dilawar Shah Sahib – the Publisher Editor of Muslim Out Look Lahore for writing a bold review of the High Court’s Judgement in the trial of Maulvi Elm Din.
The editorial was considered CONTEMPTUOUS and another trial was suo-moto initiated against Shah Sahib.
Sir Muhammad ZafarUllah Khan – in leading The Lahore High Court Bar Members to arrange appropriate representation in defense of the case and the Muslim Cause.
9. He mentored his disciple Sir Muhammad ZafarUllah Khan who was the elected (sitting) President of AIML – 1931 to pronounce the guiding principles for the Freedom of Indian Sub-Continent and the future Muslim Home Land.
10. He declared AIML to be the Sole Political Representative of Indian Muslims.
11. He sent his emissary to Nawabzada Sir Malik Khizar Hayat Khan Tiwana to relinquish his premiership of Punjab in favor of AIML.
12. He distributed (FREE) the Single Largest Stock of WHEAT to the Muslims migrating to Pakistan.
13. He designated his private Aircraft to fly Mr. M. M. Ahmad to Lahore to join the pioneer administrators like Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Sahib (ex Prime Minister of Pakistan), Khawaja Abdul Rahim Sahib (father of Khawaja Tariq Rahim – ex Governor of Punjab) and Sheikh Manzoor Elahi Sahib to set up the new country’s Administrative Structure.
14. He migrated to Pakistan and organized his Camp Office / Residence at Rattan BAGH, Lahore; from where he delivered his HISTORICALLY LANDMARK SERMONS; providing the foremost guidance to the newly established state for its appropriate governance and its relations with neighbour states and other nations of the world.
15. He personally supervised the preparation of the Muslim Case for The Boundary Commission.
In the minimum given time by the commission, He arranged the transportation of Reference Books’ between Delhi and Lahore (on relay sprints – both ways) in Motorbikes’ Side Cars, steered by Young Ahmadi Boys.
16. He helped install THE FIRST “GOVERNMENT-IN-EXILE” FOR AZAD JAMMU AND KASHMIR.
Head of that Government was Mr. Ghulam Nabi Gilkar (an Ahmadi).
17. He deputed his personal Aircraft to transport the AJK Government in Exile (amidst a huge flooding and breakage of the GT road) from Lahore to Rahwali Cantt. (today’s Gujranwala Cantt). From where they traveled by road to Bhimbher.
18. He presented a Battalion of Ahmadi Youth – FURQAN BATTALION – (including his own sons and nephews) to the Pakistani Army to fight and defend the Azad Kashmir Front Lines.
19. He DONATED his personal Aircraft to Pakistan Air Force; that became the very first Foundation of PAF.
(the plane used to sit in the National PAF Museum Peshawar until 1972)
20. He closely followed the Liberation Movements in other Islamic Countries (then colonies) and successfully guided them to their independent status and fostered their relations with Pakistan.
21. He pioneered the Afro-Asian muslim brotherhood campaigns in 1930s; which later on (politically – and with his consent) became Afro-Asian Solidarity Movement (headed by late Mian Abdul Bari Sahib of Punjab Muslim League) in 1952 and still later on was taken over by Pandit Jawar Lal Nehru of India, Marshal Tito of Yuguslavia and Jamal Abdul Nasir of Egypt in 1960s under the new nomenclature of “Non-Alligned Movement”.
22. He encouraged his young disciples to excel in education and skills and join Pakistan’s Civil and Military Cadres to help build the country.
Scores of them obeyed his command and served the country with unmatched zeal.
Look at the names;
General Iftikhar Janjua, Maj. General Nazir Ahmad, Maj. General Nasir Ahmad, General Abdul Ali Malik, General Akhtar Malik, Air Chief Marshall Zafar Ahmad Chaudhry, M.M. Ahmad – ICS, Sheikh Ishrat Ali – CSS, Amjad Virk – CSS, FazaluRehman Malik – PIDC; and so many others.
Is there any other (one) LEADER and his followers, who have contributed even a fractional when compared to what Jamaat Ahmadiyya and its Imam did for Pakistan and the Muslim Cause?
The story does not end here:-–
All the Caliphs of Ahmadiyyat by the Paramount Grace of Allah have (to this very day) selflessly awarded the MOST SINCERE ADVICE, THE BEST POSSIBLE GUIDANCE AND THE MOST PRAGMATIC RESOURCE to Pakistan, its people on one hand and the Muslims all around the globe, on the other.
Allah may very graciously bless the Ahmadiyya Khilafat and extend its benevolence to us and our generations next – AND – may guide the people of the world in understanding the True Islam and the sincere services of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat towards the Global Peace. Amen.
