The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta organised its annual “Peace Symposium 2012”on Friday 16th March 2012, at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana, Malta.
In this symposium Dr. Simon Busuttil MEP, Hon. Evarist Bartolo MP, Ms. Angele Deguara, Malta Green Party, Fr Edgar Busuttil, SJ, and Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Ayaz O.B.E, delivered their talks on ‘Democracy, freedom, human rights, social justice, diversity and peace; the role of religion in politics and democracy and place of religion in modern society’. All the speeches were very interesting, informative and inspiring.
During the Symposium the Community also organised an exhibition about the holy books of different religions, including the Holy Bible and the Holy Koran, at the same venue.
