A group of Islamic students traveling across Canada to ” dispel myths” about their religion will be stopping in Weyburn to hold an open house. The students are the members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Canada, which group earlier sent volunteers who went door to door throughout the city with the information on Islam.

The group of volunteers are on a 12 day traveling tour through Prairies, and plan to be at Weyburn public library on March 11th. The Holy Quran open house is according to the organizers “to promote religious harmony, dispel misconceptions about Islam and educate people about the true and peaceful teachings of Islam.”

In the past 14 months, the group has visited over 330,000 homes in 200 communities across Canada, reaching to an estimated 1.3 million people with the help of 2649 volunteers.
