JERASH – The Turkish Galata Mevlevi Music and Sema Ensemble provided music fans with a touch of spirituality at the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts on Saturday.
More than 1,000 attendees were exposed to the beauty and spirituality of the Sema, the Mevlevi whirling ritual, and the tradition of Mevlevi music at the ancient Roman city’s north theatre on the festival’s fourth day.
Audience members interviewed by The Jordan Times before the show came from around the world to watch the ensemble perform.
For Glena Scott, an American teacher from California, the Sufi concert was the reason she came to Jordan.
She said that her love for music made her book a ticket to the Kingdom when she heard about the concert.
Assalamo alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu.
What is Islam’s view on sufism/mysticism from the perspective of islam-ahmadiyyat? Has Hazrat Massih Mawood (a.s) written on this subject? What is our stand concerning this?
Jazakumullah
