Jordan-Saudi summit in Jeddah today

AMMAN (JT) – His Majesty King Abdullah will pay a working visit to Jeddah today for talks with Saudi King Abdullah Ben Abdul Aziz.

Talks between the two leaders will focus on means to develop bilateral relations and joint cooperation, a Royal Court statement said.

King Abdullah and the Saudi monarch will also examine the latest regional developments as well as several regional and international issues.

Jordan has received the support of Riyadh in its bid to join the six-country Gulf Cooperation Council. His Majesty has extended thanks to the Saudi leader for his support in a speech addressed to the nation on June 12.

Saudi Arabia has recently supported the public budget with $400 million.
