From various Sources: The Holy Quran proclaims that God has sent messengers to all peoples in the world. In Islamic traditions 124,000 thousand is the number that is given for prophets that were sent by God to guide people. While some of them are mentioned by name in the Quran, Ahmadi Muslims believe that Socrates was one of the prophets of God. Islam literally means surrender to God’s Will. As a Prophet of God Socrates was devoted to this and is therefore a “Muslim” (in meaning) in his heart.
In keeping with the universal and inclusive character of Islam this means that Greek people are also brothers in faith and must be respected.
History crowned Socrates as one of the wisest men to have existed in Ancient Greece. Commonly known as one of the founders of Western philosophy, Socrates attained a legendary status for his influence in the field of ethics. The life and teachings of Socrates had been recorded only by his students and contemporaries, mainly Plato, Xenophon and Aristophanes. Socrates’ teachings were so radical and unconventional in nature, he was thought to be a prophet during his life time.
Comparisons have been made between Socrates and other iconic religious figures in history such as Jesus Christ and Muhammad. These similarities included teachings which went against contemporary religion. Also, they took the needs of their fellowmen sincerely. Let’s not forget the stark similarity which depicted each individual’s suffering and torture from those who follow the mainstream religious ideology of those times. They suffered horribly for believing in atypical ideas which they stood firm supporting. And of course, each icon’s actions and words influenced the perceptions of those around them. These very ideas prove to be utterly impactful having expanded and influenced others in foreign lands.
From Revelation, Rationality, Reason and Truth by Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad:
SOCRATES seems to have a very personalized and intense relationship with the Supreme Being. His very personality is built on the pattern of the messengers of God. Plato represents the first generation of his pupils, who are also charged to a substantial degree with the Socratic spirit. In their philosophic and scientific discussions there is an inevitable stamp of spirituality. But in the transitional period, from Plato to Aristotle, we notice a perceptible decline in the idea of God playing a live and active role in the phenomena of nature. In Aristotle we do not detect any evidence that he believed in any form of communication between God and man.

Mirza Tahir Ahmad argued in his book Revelation, Rationality, Knowledge & Truth that Socrates was a prophet of the ancient Greeks. The apparent prophetic qualities of Socrates are indeed a subject for debate.[25] His constant reference to the oracle and how it performs the active function of a moral compass by preventing him from unseemly acts could easily be taken as a reference to – or substitute for revelation. Similarly, Socrates often refers to God in the singular as opposed to the plural and actively rejected the Greek pantheon of Gods and Goddesses unless citing them as examples of their falseness.[26] Socrates (pron.: /ˈsɒkrətiːz/; Greek: Σωκράτης, Ancient Greek pronunciation: [sɔːkrátɛːs],Sōkrátēs; c. 469 BC – 399 BC)[1] was a classical Greek Athenian philosopher. Credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy, he is an enigmatic figure known chiefly through the accounts of later classical writers, especially the writings of his students Plato and Xenophon, and the plays of his contemporary Aristophanes. Many would claim that Plato’s dialogues are the most comprehensive accounts of Socrates to survive from antiquity.[2] Through his portrayal in Plato’s dialogues, Socrates has become renowned for his contribution to the field of ethics, and it is this Platonic Socrates who also lends his name to the concepts of Socratic irony and the Socratic method, or elenchus. The latter remains a commonly used tool in a wide range of discussions, and is a type of pedagogy in which a series of questions are asked not only to draw individual answers, but also to encourage fundamental insight into the issue at hand. It is Plato’s Socrates that also made important and lasting contributions to the fields of epistemology and logic, and the influence of his ideas and approach remains strong in providing a foundation for much western philosophy that followed. Humans were called to communion with God through the world of created things. The rationality of creation enables man to discover the reasons of things. Therefore a number of ancient philosophers came to the idea of a single god and His presence in the world .The Stoics were the first to spoke of The divine Logos as the seminal reason, through which all things came to be, by which all things were ordered and to which all things returned. We can see ancient Greek philosophers (Socrates, Homer, Plutarch, Thucydides, Plato or Aristotle) on the external mural paintings of Christian Orthodox churches. They were not painted inside the church, cause they were not Christians and not actually responded to God’s revelation in obedience, but by nature did what the law requires, being a law to themselves. The natural law reading takes theirs intuitive awareness of the ethical demands of God. The Stoics developed a morality based on reason, according to the light that they have been given through creation.
YOu fool ahmadis are not muslims. They are “Fitna” that blooms during the british rule in subcontinent.

Mr. Anonymous. You seem to have no moral courage and so even hide your identity. This is a characteristic of people who are cowards. what you call Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him is what the Holy Prophet of Islam was called by the disbelievers of Mecca. The Quran mentions that he was called mad and foolish. The fact is that it was the disbelievers of Mecca who proved to be mad and foolish, just as you are and will be proven. Please refrain from being indecent – and try your best not to spill your filth on to this comments column. This is a warning. Next time your comment will be deleted and if you repeat that you will be unable to post in future.
of course you’re right, these are the symptoms of a spread ‘pagan’ islam more often than not.
