WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has suspended a course for military officers that officials say contained inflammatory material about Islam.
Defense Department spokesman Capt. John Kirby said Wednesday that among problems with the course taught at Norfolk, Va., was a presentation that asserted the United States is at war with Islam. Kirby noted that officials across two American administrations have stressed that the U.S. is at war with terrorists who have a distorted view of the religion.

Good. (as I mentioned before) I was told in Iraq that ‘Islamic cultural awareness classes’ were taught by American Jews (most likely with Israeli passports as well). As they had a ‘link’ to the ‘Middle East’ (Israel) it was thought they understood the Arab culture. Of course they had a rather ‘one-sided’ view of things, which they passed on to the US soldiers (who had no idea of any cultural background of their country of occupation, not to speak of the religion).
It is shame for negative presentation maker but appreciation for the officials who pointed out that the war is against the terrorists not against any religion.Only few small groups are miss guided.
Islam is a peace teaching religion. The true Muslims never sport terrorism. The Muslims of USA love their country and working hard for development of their beloved mother land, United States of America.
