Rebellion in society is responsible for dislocation of families – Maulvi Adam Maulvi Dr A. Wahab Adam, Ameer and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, has slammed the rebellion against traditions, ethical standards, religious teachings and moral values.

This, he said, was responsible for the dislocation of family life in the society.

“That is why any inclination towards permissiveness was condemned in Islam, because it leads ultimately to the destruction of family ties,” he noted.

He said Islam cherishes and zealously guards all fatherly, motherly, brotherly, sisterly and filial relationships upon which peace and development of present and future generations depend.

Maulvi Adam was addressing a congregation of the Ahmadiyya Muslims at the Annual Regional Conference of the Greater Accra Region in Accra, on the theme: “An Ahmadiya Family: A Model for Modern Society.”

He said any pleasure that was pursued at the cost of peace of mind and security was discouraged by Islam.

He said such tendencies, if unchecked, are likely to lead to the disintegration of family life and promote selfishness, irresponsibility, crime and violence.
