Every day, thousands of men around the world, and some daring women, pop the question to their significant others. Whether it’s the party who is thinking up creative ways to propose or the one saying “I do”, the marriage proposal is one of the most stressful parts of getting hitched.
A long time ago I used to see some advertisements in Swiss newspapers reading:
‘Housekeeper wanted. Later marriage not excluded’.
Meaning that if you are a good housekeeper he might marry you so that he does not need to keep paying your salary.
I suppose that could be Nr. 11 of the worst marriage proposals.
