Saturna Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based Saturna Capital Corporation, has entered into an agreement with Crescent Wealth, Australia’s first Islamic wealth manager, to act as the portfolio manager of the Crescent International Equity Fund scheduled for launch later this year.
“Saturna’s agreement with the Australian wealth management firm has been facilitated to a great extent by our strategically-located office in Kuala Lumpur. This city is rapidly becoming the global center for Islamic finance due to the business-friendly environment created by the Malaysian government and the Malaysian Islamic Finance Centre,” said Monem Salam, President of Saturna in Kuala Lumpur and Deputy Portfolio Manager of the US-based Amana Mutual Funds.
