The following text was written by Ruedi Schmid. (please bear with us: It is a Google translation from German).
The phenomenon is a concern people have always had: If God would reveal himself, the eternal dispute would be over and the proper faith would be solved once and for all. He would need to preach only on one occasion internationally. Either he does not want to, he can not or does not exist. Einstein had another explanation: “We can never understand God, but can only admire his work.”
If God is the Creator, he reveals himself through his work. He does his work without divine influence given by the laws of nature. Even accidents resulting from such natural laws that allow only imprecise because of factors not predictive. For example, a number rolled is determined by the initial position of the cube and the union movement in advance. Even the argument of Aristotle, that it is to give God the first cause must be rendered obsolete by the discovery of closed causal chains.
To Stephen Hawking: “It fits perfectly to all that we know when we say that there is a being who is responsible for the laws of physics.” And the creation, he said: “Because there is a law like gravity There can and will be a universe created itself from nothing. […] Spontaneous creation is the reason why it takes nothing but a thing, why the universe exists, why we exist. ”
The scientific community agrees that with the empirical method, which leads to these findings, the reality is closest. The only problem is that it reveals a reality that we perceive nor understand. Even the empirically determined properties of time, space and matter are completely incomprehensible for our minds. Many philosophers like Kant and Aurelius have recognized this early on. Behavioral and brain research do explain the following way: The human experience is distinguished from the reality in a constructed world through the senses experiences themselves, to whom he is tied up because of the self-consciousness. How much we are bound by these self-constructed reality, which show persistent differences of opinion and religious wars.
The realization that we can not understand the reality helps us now to accept other opinions and paves the way for religious ideologies that improve the lives purposefully. This raises the question: Is not God at all a sensible idea of being possible? Is a reasonable belief in God is not better than the scientific knowledge, only a minor to be time-limited part of the universe, to a lack of understanding? According to favor Kant belief in God as a principle of reason, Pascal as profit and Einstein as follows: “My religiosity consists in a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit who reveals himself in the little that we recognize our weak and frail sense of reality assets. ”
According to Kant, can improve the world best by divine commandments and immortality. The philosopher said, but also emphatically: “Everything except the good life, man can not do thinks to be pleasing to God, a mere religious delusion and after service of God.”
For Pascal, heaven and hell were crucial income criteria. Einstein, however, refused on principle religions of morality, fear and hope: “May gentle souls out of fear or ridiculous egotism nourish such thoughts, the man acts according to external and internal legal necessity. Everything is done by the people and thought, is the satisfaction of perceived needs and the stilling of pain. The ethical behavior of man comes through compassion, education and social ties and needs no religious basis. Morality is a very important thing, but for us, not for God. “(Einstein’s statements combined).
Spinoza was the first proponent of ethics, which has been adopted by most philosophers of modern times and is confirmed by behavioral and brain research. He also made clear that rational thinking is impaired by this sense of ethics, because doing so shifts the appreciation of the social onto material things, what satisfaction is detrimental. This becomes particularly evident when one imagines, to live alone on a desert island. That makes even the biggest luxury is not happy, and a social bond is the highest desire. Also, because women are less rational thinking, they are caring than men. That they are thus satisfied, the suicide statistics shows that when women used to have was reduced by a factor of six and has shrunk to half of the emancipation.
In short, the realization that we really can not understand, not only answered the original question, why does God allow us to be in the dark, but promotes tolerance and paves the way for a faith of reason. This belief in God can give us a finer sense of our being, but ethical behavior is caused by social ties, which, however, loses its importance by technical progress. To Einstein: “It is true that the results of research to refine do not enrich people, but the quest for understanding.”

One reason, I think, that God keeps us in suspense is to test our faith and have us pray to him. After all He has created us to worship Him, hasn’t He?
The other could be to have us find solutions to innumerable problems and questions that arise in everyday life.
For, aren’t we also supposed to look for solutions while praying?
I know this sounds very simplistic, but, am deliberately avoiding long and complicated explanations. And what would the purpose of life be if there was no suspense and everything was given to us without much effort and prayer?
Our whole make up craves for a belief in God and we find comfort in prayer, too, don’t we?
Some ideas given by various concepts:
Those who have read biology understand how cell is a unit of life- has the power to divide, respire, store, digest and excrete. It interacts with other cells surrounding it. This little living being is part of a community called an organ which in turn is part of a system and then a whole body.
The mighty body is inconceivable to the tiny living being- the cell. The mighty body itself is part of universe not conceivable to its immense faculties and development.
The circle probably goes on- So even though God is everywhere we are not able to see it.
A Hindu friend once explained the concept of God. She said we are like lots of ants traveling across different parts of a huge elephant trying to describe it. The ants may describe it as a bumpy trail, a glass, a smell, a color, a taste, a motion but we fail to see Him in His actual reality.
