Jews Muslims and Christians Pray together For Rain In Holy Land

Jews, Christians and Muslims have united in the Holy Land to pray for rain. An unusually dry autumn has left Israel and the Palestinian territories perilously parched. Imams, rabbis and priests gathered in the West Bank village of Walaja to hold the unusual ceremony. On a dry, dusty hillside overlooking the outskirts of Jerusalem they bowed and chanted prayers, each calling on their own Almighty to end the drought.

  1. Though this news is two years old, but worth reading. I have heard from my cousins who are elder to me saying that when we go for Namaz-e-istaska, Hindu brothers of our village utter: now that muslims are going to pray for rain, it’s going to rain soon. Rain is indeed a blessing from Allah(swt). Alhamdulillah

  2. When God created the world he thought wouldn’t it be lovely to have a couple of kids a boy and a girl.
At first everything was great and he was happy the patter of little feet the laughter of voices it was fun.
He called the boy Adam and the girl Eve who wore fig leaves because that was what they ate Figs. One day Eve came across an apple tree and a talking snake said “Go on have a bite.”
Eve took down a juicy apple and was about to bite it when God the father noticed.
    “Don’t do that!” he roared
“Adam told me to” lied Eve blaming her brother
“That is forbidden one bite and you will know things.” said God the father
Eve went to see her brother and said
“Father said we mustn’t eat that apple because if we do we will know things.”
Adam was smoking a bit of pot and took a fancy to something a bit stronger.
They went back to the tree and saw the snake.
“Is that apple as good as pot?” he asked
    “Better.” said the snake.
They both took an apple and started eating and God the father saw them
“Who took that Apple?” demanded God.
    “He did” said Eve
    “She did” said Adam
“The snake told us to.” They said together.
“I trusted you.” said God the father “As a punishment you will have your own children and try sorting them out. As for the snake you will never be able to talk again and I will fill your mouth with poison.”
That how it all started and family life began and the fig leaves disappeared for the moment.
We have one world and one God even if we worship the creator in different ways.
