JEDDAH: The Heritage Village, housed in the Jeddah International Center for Forums and Events, is a special point of attraction to tourists visiting to the 70-day Jeddah Summer Festival, the longest summer festival in Saudi Arabia, featuring 100 plus events. The festival was formally opened by Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal at Corniche on June 29.
The Heritage Village also presents a dates festival, culinary village, children village and children’s stage.
The village also hosts heritage items from other Arab countries including their folk arts, paintings, songs and musical instruments in addition to special dresses.
The 70-day festival is staging more than 100 amusement, art, sports and cultural events under the aegis of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), Jeddah Municipality and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
