German President Joachim Gauck views an art installation in Berlin on Friday of a simulation of what it might be like if the Nazi Gestapo were to ransack a bedroom today. The exhibition has been put together by the anti-xenophobia organization Gesicht Zeigen, or, “show your face.” The president visited the exhibition on the anniversary of the Nov. 9, 1939 Kristallnacht, or Night of Broken Glass, Nazi attacks against Jews. The show is aimed at providing youth with a view of the horrors of the Nazi regime.
