Czech President Vaclav Klaus was left shaken on Friday after a man clad in camouflage gear shot at him with a so-called airsoft replica gun, local media reported.
PRAGUE: Czech President Vaclav Klaus was left shaken on Friday after a man clad in camouflage gear shot at him with a so-called airsoft replica gun, local media reported.

Klaus was opening a bridge in Chrastava in the northern Czech Republic when the man approached him and took several shots at the president, the media reported.

Klaus, 71, a fervent eurosceptic, was not injured but harshly rebuked his bodyguards after the incident.

“You really messed up,” he said, according to Nova TV.

Police detained the man, who was also carrying pepper spray.

  1. I do not blame what happened. Our president and the entire government of us (common people) is doing just idiots. We always take the money, on the contrary, everything I stress yourself and fulfill your pocket millions. Slowly coming back communism … but in worse form.
