During the month of Ramadhan, the admins of this blog are making a concerted attempt to avoid getting involved in pointlessly stupid arguments. However, there was one issue that several anti-Ahmadi commentators brought up in the comments section of our blog a few weeks ago that we promised to deal with at a later date. So, as we have promised to publish an article on it, we will keep our promise.
The allegation revolves around a certain incident, which occurred in Rabwah. Rabwah is a town made up largely of very peaceful Ahmadi Muslims, so it is an especially strange anomaly that in May 1974 riots occurred there. The allegations pertaining to these riots are threefold:
1- That Khalifatul Masih III planned the riot
2- That Ahmadi Muslims murdered non-Ahmadi Muslims during the riot
3- That Ahmadi Muslims committed acts of terrorism during the riot
Essentially, these allegations emanated and continues to emanate from anti-Ahmadiyya groups in Pakistan, including extremists, who love to propagate this story, in conjunction with parts of the Pakistani media. It has already been reported by numerous independent sources, including the Pakistani media itself, how biased the Pakistani media is against Ahmadi Muslims and that they publish up to 1000 false and inflammatory stories about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community every year. However, for the sake of impartiality several members of our team conducted thorough research into the issue. Firstly, we looked at anti-Ahmadiyya sites and their allegations. Secondly, we looked at Ahmadiyya sources, both in books and online. Thirdly, members of our team interviewed several Ahmadi Muslims who were in Pakistan at the time, including eye witnesses who were present at the actual riots when they occurred. Finally, we looked at numerous accounts of the events that occurred, from neutral and independent sources. Our conclusion was that to fully appreciate what happened and why, we would have to present a study of the entire history of society, politics and religion in Pakistan. Clearly this is not within the scope of this article. Instead, we will have to satisfy ourselves by taking a more superficial look at the events that occurred and their true causes. For the sake of transparency, whatever we present in this article, we will make it clear whether we have taken it from independent sources or from Ahmadiyya sources, before listing some of our sources together at the end.

  1. We are student leaders and living witnesses. The incident was planned by anti-Ahmadi Mullahs in collabration with Bhutto Government to create a drama of riots in the country against Ahmadis. It was first planned in University of Agriculture Faisalabad. Jamiat and other anti Ahmadi students organisations did nog succeed because all Ahmadis students were strictly directed by Ameer Sahib late Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Mazhar RA to report to him at Maghrib prayer in Fazal Mosque Faisalabad and not to react to any situation against Ahmadis. Our students were beaten also but we adheered to our ameer and nothing happened. Then students of Nishtar college were used by way of trip. I know this because I was a student leader that time and later became incharge of information centre during riots at Faisalabad. I saw Mullahs holding tounges of goats outside Faisalabad railway station to incite the masses against Ahmadis. This action by Nishtar students was well planned and spread like a fire in seconds in the whole country as if the incident was already known to them and killing and destruction of Ahmadi lives and properties were on top, smoke and fire and stones clubs were the weapons for the riotors. It was devastating evil plan by Mullahs in collaboration with Bhutto government to declare Ahmadis non muslim and solve the then socalled 90 years problem. So Ahmadis were innocent they only reacted in defence if they did so to protect their lives.

  2. Dear Muzaffar Mansoor, instead of getting sentimental please read the complete article once again with more than three dozen comments posted on the original post. Whole matter boiling down to the incident at Rabwah Railway Station. Travelling students were not chasing any one while routing back to Multan. As per available evidence re produced in original post Khalifaul Masih III (RA) also stated the unbecoming behaviour of Ahmadi at Railway Station Rabwah. So please examine the article once again from this angle and then opine.

  3. I don’t know what the exact policy of this site is, but perhaps you guys could post the entire article? If the only objection to posting the whole thing was that you don’t have the author’s permission, then I absolutely waive the permission and you may freely post the entire article or even as many articles as you like and in fact I have no particular concern whether or not you even credit the author (where the article is written by me) or our site.

The only reason I’m saying is that like Zubair Khan Sahib has pointed out, the most important part of the article was arguably what Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih III said both before and after the incident.

  4. I think it is not the point. Nothing wrong with the policy of the site. Any one by clicking more can read the entire article as well comments. Similarly your above response pertained to Faisalabad and Multan which is true. I restricted my observation to Rabwah Railway Station incident for the day students were on their journey back. Rest what ever you said is true and no one has any objection to it.
