Ahmadis in West Java on alert

Ahmadiyah followers in a number of places in West Java are on alert after a rumor circulated claiming that the same group that attacked an Ahmadiyah mosque in Singaparna, Tasikmalaya, West Java, on Friday would launch attacks on Ahmadi property in other areas in the province.

The Ahmadiyah community’s Tasikmalaya branch spokesman, Budi Badrussalam, told The Jakarta Post on Sunday that Ahmadiyah communities in Garut, Salawu, Ciamis and Tasikmalaya remained on guard against possible attacks on their properties.

  1. No arrests reported yet. No promises made for safety of Ahmadiyyah Community members. Authorities silently predict further attacks just as every one else does
