“We urge you to lead Arab, Muslim and international efforts to protect Al-Aqsa mosque,” in Jerusalem’s Old City, Hamzeh Mansur, head of the Islamic Action Front (IAF), said in a letter to the king.

“We suggest holding an emergency Arab summit to protect Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem,” Mansur said in the letter, posted on the IAF’s website.
