Dr Abdul Salam was first Muslim to win Nobel Prize in 1979. Upon felicitation, he expressed that he used to study Quran very attentively and received ideas for his research from Quran itself. He stated that by further working on the ideas conceived from Quran his work was recognized and bestowed with the Nobel Prize.
In present context Ahmadiyya Muslim parents teach their children Quran in addition to the basic schooling. In the Ahmadiyya society, those who pursue science and medicine are the ones who expressed most willingness to study Quran. Another famous Ahmadi Muslim Saleh Mohammed Aladdin who was a scientist in Osmania University could remember all of Quran by his heart. Because of teachings of Quran, he could do many research activities and achieved many recognition and prizes.
