Israeli glass sparkles

A new glass exhibit at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv is set to dazzle the local art world this summer.

Dubbed the ‘largest glass art exhibit’ in the history of the State, the display includes 100 works by 67 Israeli artists.

“From minute to monumental, from individual objects to mixed-media installations, from figurative to pure abstraction, from personal narrative to social, historical and political references, the exhibits reflect a vast range of approaches, working treatments, concepts and artistic concerns highlighting some of the inventive and imaginative ways glass is used and its versatility as a medium of artistic expression,” writes curator Henrietta Eliezer Brunner.
