The Buffalo Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will hold its next conference on Sunday March 20, 2016 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Avenue, Cheektowaga, NY 14225, across from the Walden Galleria Mall.
This conference provides a unique and thought-provoking opportunity to discuss the misconceptions that exist about some Islamic teachings, both within and without the religion of Islam. What are the true Islamic concepts of jihad and sharia law? Is there a concept of separation of religion & state in Islam? Further, with so many differing views about Islam, who indeed speaks for true Islam and on whose authority? Speakers from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will discuss these important issues and present the true Islamic perspectives. Ample time will be available for questions that audience may have for the speakers.
The speakers are as follows:
- True Islamic Perspectives: Jihad & Terrorism, Imam Hamid Nasir Malik, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
- True Islamic Perspectives: Separation of Religion & State, Imam Azam Akram, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
- True Islamic Perspectives: Sharia Law, Dr. Nasir Khan, President, Buffalo Chapter, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
- Who speaks for True Islam?, Imam Azam Akram, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
Each speaker will speak for 15 minutes. The speeches will be followed by a question & answer session and a break at the end where refreshments will be served.
