Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad says that Annual Convention is going ahead despite attack

The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat and Fifth Khalifa, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has strongly condemned an attack perpetrated by thousands of extremists Muslims against the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Bangladesh on 6 February 2013.The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Bangladesh, which is celebrating its 100 year anniversary, was scheduled to hold its Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) at a large stadium in Gazipur District; however after the attack on 6 February it was re-located to the National Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Dhaka.  Preparations for the Annual Convention had been completed when the attack took place. Between two to three thousand Muslim extremists, led by fanatical religious clerics from ‘Jamaat Islami’ and other groups, entered the stadium and proceeded to vandalise and destroy all property. They then set the area alight and so all property was burnt, including marquees, smaller tents, chairs and many other items. The financial loss suffered by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat was huge and likely to come to tens of millions in local currency.Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that though the venue had been changed, the three-day Annual Convention was still going ahead and had already begun. His Holiness said:“The Jalsa Salana is not being cancelled and is taking place like always. May Allah protect all those who are attending the Jalsa and may the event reach a safe and successful conclusion.”Referring to the extremist clerics who led the attack as the “so-called flag bearers of Islam’, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad prayed:“May Allah punish the so-called religious scholars for their hatred and evil acts.”In his Friday Sermon of 8 February 2013, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad also announced that the Jalsa Salana of the Sierra Leone Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat had commenced. His Holiness said that the Islamic leaders in Sierra Leone were different to those in Bangladesh, because despite differences of belief, they continued to display ‘humanity’ and thus attended events hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“May Allah reward the religious clerics in Sierra Leone  for their positive attitude  and may He enable them to better understand the message and truthful claim of the Promised Messiah.”

  1. Alhamdolillah, the 89th Jalsa Salana of Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Bangladesh, has been held in really grand daringly successful style, leaving deep impact on the mind and soul of all viewers of MTA channel. This was the very special historical occasion of the completion of the first century of the foundation of Jama’at-e-Ahmadiyya Bagladesh and now, by the blessings of God Almighty, the Jama’at of Hadhrat Aqdus Masih-e-Maud, Alaihissalam, has entered the second century of its existence, with such a grand spiritual pomp and show, attracting the attention of Ahmadis from all the four corners of the world, because of this fact that the local adversaries of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, felt great jealousy of the great achievements and ever increasing glorification of the Ahmadiyya in conquering the heart and soul of of the kind hearted people of beautiful Bangladesh and these agitators tried to halt this spiritual march of the divinely created Ahmadiyya jama’at,by attacking the Jalsagah, specially prepared in the hired Stadium and the hostile Mulla-led agitators, thought it necessary to burn and reduce the jalsagah into ashes. These unlawful, unruly rioters seem to having been given ‘free hand’ to perform their satanic destructive assignment. In view of all this un-acceptable doings of the Islamists agitators, one can say with 100 percent certainty that in future, when the Ahmadis of Banglasdesh will be holding their 189th ‘Jalsa Salana’ in 2113, on that occasion, the next, new generations of these very agitators/rioters/burners of the 2013 jalsa Salana venue, will surely feel un-easy, angry and deeply ashamed at seeing the MTA recordings of such sort of the immoral, illegal, inhuman ‘works’ of their forefathers and ancestors, which they performed in the name of Islam, a religion of peace and salamati’up to the last day of final judgement. May God help bless the state of Bangladesh to be able to discharge its duties towards all of its citizens and that the Ahmadiyya jama’at makes new glorious achievements and gets new strength out of this un-precedented, sorry episode. Ameen.

  2. Our respected, dear Huzoor-e-Anwar, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib, aba, in his Friday sermon, gave the glad tiding that the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Bangladesh and Sierraleone state of West Africa, are holding their 3-days Annual Convention, which will be their 89th and 52nd Jalsa Salana respectively. Huzoor-e-Anwar used very kind words to pray for the Islamic scholars and clerics of Sierraleone so that Allah may reward them for their positive attitude and better understanding of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and wished that God may enable them to all the more better understanding of the divine message and the truthful claims of Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, the Promised Messiah, pbuh. Ameen.
And as for the Islamist clerics of Bangladesh, these hostile, extremist agitators, who demolished, destroyed and burnt the whole Stadium Area of ‘Jalsa Salana’. Huzoor-e-Anwar had to say sorrow ful words for this type of Mulla and prayed that ‘God may punish these so-called flag bearers of Islam’, who make violent, immoral speeches and perform dirty, inhuman acts of hatred and animosity against the peaceful and law-abiding members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. Let all the Ahmadis may do so and continue to repeat these praying words, along with the repetition of the ‘Darood Shareef’, with loud saying of Ameen-sum-Ameen-ya-RabbulAlameen. Jazakallah.
