Growing concerns over increased Islamic influence in Europe (are misplaced: Editor)

Khadija Ahmadiyya Mosue, Berlin. (During the construction of the mosque there was some opposition, however, now the neighbours know that the Ahmadi-Muslims are good neighbours).

GERMANY, December 28, 2012 – In an article published December 27th, Soeren Kern, a Senior Fellow at the New York-based Gatestone Institute, wrote a dire message stating that “as a rapidly growing Muslim population makes its presence felt in towns and cities across the continent, Islam is transforming the European way of life in ways unimaginable only a few years ago.”

No country was more affected by Islam-related controversies in 2012 than Germany. According to Kern, the Muslim population in the early 1980s stood at approximately 50,000. Today that number has grown to more than four and half million.

Much of the anxiety lies in an increasing divide between Germany’s political elites, who are determined to build a multicultural society regardless of cost, and ordinary German citizens who are witnessing a progression in the erosion of their freedoms. Several recent studies have arrived at corroborating conclusions.

The problem has reached such dynamic proportions that Germans openly discuss the situation with outsiders, tourists and anyone else who will listen.

In a spate of political correctness where mainstream media is giving credence to the demands of multiculturalism by the power elite, anti-jihadists are being classified as “Islamophobes.” It is similar to the manner in which dissenters are called “racists” in the United States for voicing an opinion against another ethnic group.

Among the areas of greatest concern is the refusal of Muslim immigrants to integrate into German society, which inherently brings the institution of Sharia law. Such parallel legal systems will create societal havoc by establishing separate laws for diverging communities within one nation.

One estimate claims that more than 400 Roman Catholic churches and over 100 Protestant churches have been closed since 2000, with 700 additional Roman Catholic churches scheduled to shut down over the next several years.

NOTE BY THE EDITOR:

These fears are misplaced. Even the most conservative estimates put future numbers of Muslims below ten percent in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. In a democracy ten percent do not make policies or laws. Yes, we have to watch extremists (on all sides!) but let’s face it: Most Muslims came to Europe not only for better economic prospects, but also for more freedom. They did not come to limit these freedoms.

  1. Being a German Muslim Citizen I would say an attempt has been made just to expose the fearful side and probably writer forgot to show the loving and passionate side of Islam which Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in whole of Europe including Germany is propagating. Currently it is the most active, fastest growing and very dynamic communities of Islam which is attracting the attention of all segments of the European Society. Relative to its strength the number of German mosques built by this community is the largest in proportion. In the past many a times fingers were raised about the intention and aims of this community. However all the official echelons including the secret services of German police confirmed the community has no hidden agenda and no ulterior motives. In denouncing the terrorism this community is the torch bearer of peaceful Islam. Its supreme head Mirza Masroor Ahmad, starting from Capitol Hill to European Parliament has categorically cleared the actual teachings of Islam promote peace and love in the world. Just mentioning Salafist in Germany and thus posing the whole Islam as a problematic religion is not fair and writer of the article is requested to make an other survey of Germany. Meet with representatives of Ahmadiyya Community and DITIB, which represents Turkish Muslims and a partner with Ahmadiyya Community for starting Islamic Teachings lessons in schools of Germany. Surely writer will get a better and optimistic picture about Islam not only in Germany but in whole of Europe. Can be facilitated such meetings if wish to do.

  2. Thanks for the posting and its due corrective dose by ZK, our German Muslim citizen. Jazakallah. All Europeans must be duly informed and politely told that the word ‘Islam’ in Arabic means ‘peace’. Its aim is to create justice-based social harmony and tranquality. As such one wishes to pray that God may help His true practical followers of Islam, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to spread the true Islamic influence through out Europe with greater efforts and speed so that the foul, un-ethical, mean-materialistic, bad social ways of existing life may give way to the lasting natural ways of Islamic social life of all and for all the times to come. Ameen.

  3. Why do Muslims come to Europe, one wonders….and why do we allow them to? Did someone ask your opinion before letting Muslims come to Europe as you say? I think you have very little say in the matter, and perhaps that’s why you’re so angry. Cultural diversity, open borders and an end to blatant racism is the only answer. England is big enough for 70 million or more. To be honest, I would be prefer to live in a Britain of immigrants than intolerant bigots.
Islam is the fastest growing faith in Britain. Hundreds and thousands of Brits are reverting to Islam. By the middle of this century, over half of Brits would be Muslims. New research has shown more women convert to Islam than men – in fact, they account for 60 per cent of conversions. They believed that they should be a force for good by building bridges between the Muslim and Non Muslim communities in order to understand Islam better. Increasing numbers of young, university-educated women in their twenties and thirties are converting to Islam. Well – educated white women are more likely to convert to Islam than other groups. Through wearing modest clothing, all the way to a head scarf, it’s no longer about how you look, It’s getting free from this idea that you are defined by your dress size.” At the London Central Mosque in Regent’s Park, women account for roughly two thirds of the “New Muslims” who make their official declarations of faith – and most of them are under the age of 30.

“I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of
its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to
possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which
can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him – the wonderful man
and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the
Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the
dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems
in a way that would bring it the much
needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad
that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to
be acceptable to the Europe of today.” [G.B. Shaw, THE GENUINE ISLAM, Vol.

  4. InshaAllah, not only the Western people but the whole world will come under the banner of Islam as predicted by the founder of Islam-e-Ahmadiyyat Hadhrat Aqdus Masih-e-Muhammadi, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, alaihisSalam, 123 years ago in 1898. Let all the members of the Ahmadiyya Muslims community through out the world, adopt the regularly practice to read and recite the holy Darood Shareef in heart while doing their routine works by hand as said in Urdu–‘dil bayar, dast ba kar,’–let it be recite this verse of His Holiness Masih-e-Maud,alm :- Bhej Darood us Mohsin par tu din mein sau sau bar, Pak Muhammad Mustafa Nabyoon ka Sardar’, Alamdolillah, Jazakallah.

  5. What evidence of god is there? None, right. You people are gullible. You are wasting your life on a non-existent god.

    • David: Do you have a baby? Remember on the first day? Did you see the tiny 5 fingers on each hand and 5 toes on each foot. So perfect! And you think this happened just by accident?
