So Called Father of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb jumps into politics

The Christian Science Monitor: Taha Siddiqui.

The father of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb has launched a political party, which plans to participate in the next presidential election slated for early 2013.

Abdul Qadeer Khan has started a 100-day campaign to tour Pakistan, starting with Kahuta, home to the first nuclear facility in Pakistan, established just outside Islamabad, during the 1970s.

“The current leadership in Pakistan is corrupt and it needs to change. I will go around the country to appeal to students, professionals, and the civil society to vote for the right people, since the upcoming elections are around the corner. They look up to me so they will listen to me,” Dr. AQ Khan said in a telephone interview.

  1. AQKhan said “The current leadership in Pakistan is corrupt and it needs to change” but according to Pakistan Media Mr.Khan sold neculear technology to varrious other countries which results his resignation from his post and spending some time in Jail. Don’t you think he is on the same boat as of current leadership?

  2. I think it will be more graceful and dignified to stick and act on the slogan “Love for all and hatred for none” and not to indulge on passing judgements on individuals just becasue they do not agree with you.

A.Q.Khan enjoys a reputation in Pakistan as a scientist. If he wants to join the ranks of politicians why should anyone have objections. After all there is “democracy” and “freedom of press” in Pakistan, “Gang-Nam Style”.

  3. Love for all hatred for none, should and must be applied to all and not only to those you liked and not to those their face you do not like because of your personal vendatta or dislike and the way the Holy Prophet SAW treated his enemies or even those who came to kill him or those who did all to harm him by many ways. He did not use selective application when dealing with fellow human beings. Hazur ATBA while referring Fazal Ur Rehman Sahib late [RA] gave golden direction to Jama’at and in particular to office bearers to be like Fazal Ur Rehman sahib [and not like Bhambri]. in my life I always remember kindness of Hazrat Sheikh Mohammad Ahmad Mazhar, Mirza Abdul Haq, Maulana Chaudhry Munawar and Aftab Ahmad Khan, may God continue to reward them with special place in paradise who never brought their personal ego into when dealing with Jama’at matters and never made any matter a matter of their personal ego to victimise and punish members, that’s why those worked with them still remember them like Fazal Ur Rehman sahib amir Rawalpindi [RA].Do not take me wrong as often some people jump conclusions and tend to speculate and publicise things negatively[rumors] about others wrongly without evidence damaging their good name and reputation.
