Ahmadiyya leaders appeal to govt

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Bangladesh leaders yesterday appealed to the government to immediately ensure the reconstruction of a mosque of the community in Kismat Mena Nagar village of Rangpur’s Taraganj upazila and uphold their constitutional rights.

Local admin inactive during Taraganj incident: Ahmadiyya leaders

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat leaders on Saturday alleged that taking advantage of the failure of the local administration to take timely action miscreants attacked their members, burnt houses and demolished a mosque at Menanagar, a village in Taraganj in Rangpur.

They alleged that the administration took no action against the offenders though it was informed repeatedly.
They said Jamaat activists perpetrated the attacks to destroy social harmony in the country.
They made the allegations at a news conference at the central office the Ahmadiyya community at  Bakshi Bazaar.
Ahmadiyya Jamaat naib national ameer Meer Mobashsher Ali and national ameer Mobasherur Rahman spoke at the news conference.
