AMMAN — Latin Patriarch of Jordan, Palestine, Cyprus, Syria and Israel Fouad Twal on Sunday commended His Majesty King Abdullah’s support for Palestinians and the holy sites in Jerusalem.

During a visit to Madaba Governorate, Twal highlighted the situation in Palestine, which he said had worsened due to the media’s “negligence” of what is happening on the ground.

He stressed the importance of Jordan, particularly Madaba, on the religious tourism map.
