CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A historian of early Christianity at Harvard Divinity School has identified a scrap of papyrus that she says was written in Coptic in the fourth century and contains a phrase never seen in any piece of Scripture: “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife …’”
The faded papyrus fragment is smaller than a business card, with eight lines on one side, in black ink legible under a magnifying glass. Just below the line about Jesus having a wife, the papyrus includes a second provocative clause that purportedly says, “she will be able to be my disciple.”

This is sure to spur more debates with Catholic church and conspiracy theorists. Its only fitting that the research was done and presented by a lady historian instead of a man. I am no expert on this matter, but there is this verse in the Holy Quran that makes one ponder..
[13:39] And, indeed, We sent Messengers before thee, and We gave them wives and children.
I wish and hope the Historian will not be forced to suspend her research and discoveries on this. May God assist her.
I think this is good news if it is true at all, but that science has to prove. To every man belongs a woman. Why not to Jesus?
Yundola, only one? (But that is another topic).
Rafiq,
🙂
Thats truly a different topic we can argue about.
Thanks, brother Sazzad for the verse from the Holy Quran that I have posted under comment in my post on the subject.
Nobody can suspend this research. Because it is not for nothing that it has been saved for since such a long time. Allah preserved it and there is a great purpose behind it. They can only “pend” it for time being if they try, but finally truth will be proved.
I believe even if they , to them destroy every evidence Allah is capable to save and produce even more solid evidence. Insha’Allah
I am not surprised at this evidence at all. There still maybe more hidden facts bigger then this. Truth is born to shine.
