Ahmadiyya Youth, canvassing Stratford

Members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Canada will be canvassing Stratford today. Spokesperson Rizwan Rabbani said that they will be here to promote peace, condemn terrorism and dispel misconceptions about Islam. Its part of a nationwide campaign over the past year that has seen them visit over 337,000 houses in more than 200 communities. The day before each visit, the volunteers are asked to keep a traditional muslim fast (no food or drink) from sunrise to sunset.

They will also pray for the well-being of the community.. ” On the day of the visit, our volunteers are asked to wake up at 3:45 in the morning to start the day with a special prayer for the town ” Rabbani said in a media release.
