Muslims to honor Queen, 135 years after honoring Queen Victoria

Digitaljournal.com: by Elizabeth Batt: Under the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community motto: Love for All, Hatred for None, Muslims plan to converge on the Tower of London on May 13 to honor the Queen in her Diamond Jubilee year.

One of the events the community will take part in is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee charity walk, a 10km hike which is expected to raise up to half a million pounds for the Queen’s charities. While the charity walk is an annually-held event, organizers and participants plan to go the extra mile for Queen and country this Jubilee year and attempt to raise more than ever before.

Other participants in the charity walk are London Mayor, Boris Johnson, the Secretary of State for Communities, Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP and a number of senior figures from a variety of charities. Accompanying them will be representatives from the Metropolitan Police force, the Armed Forces and several diplomats and parliamentarians.

The Ahmadiyya Community has also paid for 100 London buses to carry the message, “Congratulations Your Majesty!” But perhaps more surprising said the Muslim website Love for All Hatred for None, is:

The fact that the Ahmadiyya Community had sent a congratulatory message to Her Majesty Queen Victoria – some 135 yrs ago – to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. And even then, all those many years ago, the community marked the occasion by lighting up their Mosques many thousands of miles away from the UK.

  1. Ahmadis are taught from childhood to love their country and their Just rulers, irrespective of their race, language or religion. One of the christain rulers was the first one to give asylum to Muslims who were persecuted in Arabia at the time of Holy Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
I whole heartedly support Ahmadis in this effort.
We should continue to help and support our rulers, who provide us with security, education, health and jobs etc.

  2. The post makes me recall the rule of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, the Sikh ruler of Punjab and Northern area had banned muslims to say Azaan and pray in mosques. The freedom of religion and its peaceful propagation was denied to the followers of Islam. The Badshahi mosque of Lahore was used as a place for cattle-keeping. And when the English came here with flying colors and finished the brutal Sikh rule(mis-rule) and they restored the religious freedoms of Muslims and the mosques/worship places were got vacated and delivered back to the owners/muslims.This religious freedom made the followers of the Promised Masih Alaihisalam as most thankful to God Almighty for the restoration of freedom of religion and this made The Promised Masih (pbuh) to record a few words of praise for the British government and Queen Victoria. One feels pleased to say that this legacy of freedom of religion is still being observed in their and the world-wide Ahmadiyya Muslim community feel great pleasure and honour to extend hearty greetings and felicitations on this august occasion of Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 11. May God bless all in the true selfless service for all the time to come. Ameen.

what the intelligentsia needs “Not to Forget” is that:-

      1. Islam in India was constantly targeted by the Christian and Hindu Clergy.

      2. Maharaja Ranjit Singh protected Muslims from British and weakling Mughals and stood up to provide the Freedom of Religion.

Faqir Syed Nurudin was his Prime Minister and Custodian of the entire Sikh Empire.

When Mughals were seen giving way to the British; most of the monuments belonging to Rasoole Karim saw and Khulafae Rashideen ra, were purchased – {from Mughal Royalty} – and safely brought to Lahore and preserved in sanctuary.
