Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov sees nothing wrong with Islamists coming to power in some Arab countries.
“Political Islam is a normal phenomenon. This does not cause us any grounds for concern, and we do not need to learn to work with Islamists, because we have been working with them for a long time,” Lavrov said in an interview for television channel “Rossiya-24.”
According to Lavrov, ignoring such parties and movements leads to negative results. “This happened at Palestinian elections of 2007, when a fair and just victory was secured by the Islamist Hamas, but the west refused to accept these results, believing Hamas to be a terrorist organization,” reminded the minister.
The Muslim Times aspires for separation of Mosque-Church and State, in every country of the world so that everyone can fully enjoy religious freedom in our global village.
Russians are straight forward. They are loyal to their friends and avoid dual standards.
Although the policy of non-interfering in others countries internal matters is good policy but politicizing of any religion is very dangerous when the main aim is using a religion to get a political millage.In this case Religion usually miss-used and discrimination are noted.
Even political rivals are blackmailed and murdered in the name of religion.Some time political opponents are made slaved or 2nd class and 3rd class citizens in the country where Religion is politicized and the country is ruined politically and religiously and become a failed state in the end. Can you not see on the globe so many politicized religious countries running towards total destruction, Fundamentalism and Terrorism??
