Its amazing to read how many voices have suddenly creeped up in favour of Ahmadiyyah community in Indonesia. In fact, this is the first time that few religious groups have taken the stance on the issue of right & Wrong. We hope these voices will continue in a positive direction and we expect that authorities will take action to prevent further atrocities towards its innocent citizens.
“mediate the clash between a hard-line group and Ahmadiyah followers”
There was no clash. There was a criminal assault. No discussion or mediation is needed. What is required is that the criminals be punished.
HRRIF UK appreciates any efforts made in the direction of peace and resolution for peace and strongly condemns intolerance and violence against Ahmadis anywhere in the name of religion or imposing upon them self centred interpretation of their beliefs by the opposing party/ies.
According to Qur’an No compulsion in Religion. Freedom of faith is basic human right. It is the basic duty of the Government to safeguard the basic human rights of its citizens. If a government fails to establish law and order and can not safeguard the basic human rights then it should resign. It is the duty of all organizations to condemn these attacks and urge the government to enforce the law and punish the attackers.
We appreciate all the organizations who urged the government to enforce the law and safeguard the basic human rights of all citizens including Ahmadis in Indonesia.
I apreciate that NU condemned the attacks and shown steps to defuse the situation.
NU deserves credit and our passionate prayers for success in their efforts to address the atrocities committed against Ahmadi Muslims in Indenesia.
I trust, Inahah Allah, the good intentions of NU will bring meaningful results without further discrimination and denying the basic rights to Ahmadis in this country.
Good to hear such sane voices from Indonesia, the greatest Islamic nation. Looks there is still hope for real Islamic spirit.
