The very excellent Difa-e-Pakistan Council

One cannot be faulted for assuming that the Difa-e-Pakistan Councilmay perhaps comprise of officials of the defence ministry, four-star generals and decorated admirals who wish to ponder over the defence needs of the country and make major strategic decisions.

To find out that it is actually a motley crew of fourty-odd religious parties, banned terrorist outfits like the Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), a few other political has-beens like Sheikh Rasheed and Ijazul Haq, and former spymaster Hameed Gul, among others, can be shocking. To figure out what it stands for can be even more astounding. Let’s try and figure that out by asking a few questions.

So what does the Council stands for?

  1. Hello All,

Easter is here again;most would have been celebrating it, or enjoyed its holidays, but what does it mean to you?It is all about Jesus;his birth, death and resurrection, and ascension.

Before he was born, prophesies had gone forth(spoken by prophets about his birth) in various places in the old testament;prophet Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 9;6; For a child is born to us,

a son is given to us.

The government will rest on his shoulders.

    And he will be called:

    Wonderful Counselor,d Mighty God,

    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

    7His government and its peace

    will never end.

He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David

    for all eternity.

The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies

    will make this happen.

He said in Isaiah 53;1-end;this prophet of God wrote this about a thousant years before his birth.

    1Who has believed our message?

To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?

2My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot,

like a root in dry ground.

There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,

nothing to attract us to him.

    3He was despised and rejected—

a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.

We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.

He was despised, and we did not care.

    4Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;

it was our sorrowsa that weighed him down.

And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,

a punishment for his own sins!

5But he was pierced for our rebellion,

    crushed for our sins.

He was beaten so we could be whole.

He was whipped so we could be healed.

6All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.

We have left God’s paths to follow our own.

Yet the Lord laid on him

    the sins of us all.

7He was oppressed and treated harshly,

yet he never said a word.

He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.

And as a sheep is silent before the shearers,

he did not open his mouth.

    8Unjustly condemned,

    he was led away.b

No one cared that he died without descendants,

that his life was cut short in midstream.c

    But he was struck down

for the rebellion of my people.

    9He had done no wrong

    and had never deceived anyone.

    But he was buried like a criminal;

he was put in a rich man’s grave.

10But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him

    and cause him grief.

Yet when his life is made an offering for sin,

    he will have many descendants.

He will enjoy a long life,

and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.

11When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish,

    he will be satisfied.

    And because of his experience,

my righteous servant will make it possible

for many to be counted righteous,

for he will bear all their sins.

12I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier,

because he exposed himself to death.

He was counted among the rebels.

He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

John the Baptist said;behold the lamb of the world.john 1;29

The purpose of his birth was to die for the sins of the world;so that we would not be doing animal sacrifices on altars to God.Those sacrifices could not take away the sins of man,so they were repeated yearly. The Jewish people did this every year;the high priest did this;but now Jesus is the high priest who offered his blood once and for all.Read the book of Hebrews for this detailed accounts

Jesus himself said; i am the way,the truth and the life;no one gets to the father, except thru me;if you have seen me,you have seen the father John 14;6-12

He said again you must be born again;whoever believes in me has eternal life but whoever rejects me is condemned already John3;3-21

He said it before he died that i have power to lay down my life and power to take it up;he did axactly as he said;he rose from the dead john 10-17-18

He said God is my father;john5;17,19-24

Note that religion cannot understand this;it is too big for religion(religion is man seeking to serve God but misses the way)

Christianity is God coming down to his children to show them the way;so that they could have intimate relationship with him(unbroken relationship)not like the former days when Adam sinned against him and was cut-ff from him;he restored us by the blood of the lamb(Jesus).

If you accept Abraham as a prophet of God,then accept Jesus because,Jesus is from the lineage of Abraham.

You read the Bible and do not understand;because the words are spirit and they are life;things of the spirit are foolishness to the carnal mind;John6;63,2Corinthians2;14.You need the spirit of God to understand the word of God.

Do not let religion, unbelief, pride, ignorance,or tradition put-you-away.Find out for yourself by reading these scriptures and get the truth.Ask God to misnister to you and he would;not for academic arguments but for the purpose of surrrendering your heart to him.Come to Jesus, the son of the living God.

God searches the heart of man and knows all his intents,so you cannot deceive him;he looks at the heart but man looks at the outer body. The heart of man is the light thru which he sees us.Isam16;7 prov20;27

May the living God touch your heart and bring you alive to him.Amen

Wish you a happy easter celebration.
