  1. God’s punishment was much more swifter & severe. The 2 main political criminals, Bhutto & Mujeeb were hanged/murdered. The 2 military criminals Niazi & Rao Farman were humiliated by surrenderenig 100,000 Muslim army to infidels, the largest since the fall of Baghdad by Helegu(Halaku).

  2. It is notable that despite his shady background, this man in the name of Islam, has very successfully rallied fanatic supporters over the past decade – against minorities and Ahmady Muslims in Bangladesh. It is a start – that this man is being brought to the due process of justice. But, there are many other underlings who must also be apprehended and brought to justice. The atrocities committed during the war of ’71 must be brought to light, so that general mass can see the true picture of their so called religious leaders. People of Bangladesh has been silent and looked the other way for too long. It is time to open their eyes. As one famous Bengali poet wrote – One who commits a crime and the one who is shy to protest, are equally criminal.

  3. It is quite obvious to all but those blinded by propaganda that this arrest is politically motivated. Ghulam Azam has become a scapegoat and symbol for the events in 1971 simply because of his political opposition to the formation of Bangladesh. It is amazing that people are able to overlook the dire economic situation in Bangladesh, human rights abuses, extreme poverty and abuse of power which occur daily under the AL government. See http://www.ghulamazam.net for more information.

  4. If Ghulam Azam has nothing
to hide then this trial is an opportunity
to prove his innocence. Why is he so
concerned? Ghulam Azam at this age
should worry more about the verdict in the
court of Allah. From the testimonies of so
many victims, the verdict of Allah should
be the real source of his anxiety! That is of
course if he really believes in God.
