The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Canada presented its message of understanding and tolerance during an open house at the Peterborough Public Library.  They not only promoted peace but condemned terrorism and dispelled several misconceptions about Islam.  Perhaps most importantly on this day, they tried to educate those who attended about the status that Islam gives to Mother Mary and women in general. Hence, the title A Tribute to Mother Mary “Islamic Perspective”.

Our main focus is to promote peace, harmony and love to look at what all religions teach said Arshad Ahmed, one of five organizers at Peterborough location.  “We present the message of peace and love as written in the Holy Quran and exemplified in the life of Holy Prophet Mohammad.  We want to present the teachings of Islam in the purest form.”
