Poles will spend PLN 7.9 bn for New Year’s Eve

Poles plan to spend around PLN 7.9 billion on the New Year’s Eve celebrations, i.e. nearly PLN 550 per household, a level comparable to last year’s sum, according to a report by KPMG audit, tax and advisory services.

Of the amount, PLN 3.3 billion will pertain to food and beverages and PLN 900 million to alcohol.

Some 39% of the surveyed plan to spend the same amount of money as in 2010, 24% plan to spend more and around 33% plan to spend less.
