ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee on National Security on Friday summoned former Ambassador to the United States Husain Haqqani, Inter-Services Intelligence Director General Lt General Ahmed Shuja Pasha and US businessman of Pakistani origin Mansoor Ijaz, over the Memogate scandal.
The committee’s session was held today in the Parliament House and was presided over by Senator Raza Rabbani.
“They will brief the committee on the issue in detail,” said Raza Rabbani while speaking to reporters after conducting the meeting.
Rabbani said that the summoning date will be finalised soon. He said that it was likely that Pasha and Haqqani will appear before the committee during the second week of January, and added that Ijaz would be summoned through the proper channel as he was a US citizen.
