The Air Force apparently slipped that a long talked-about arms deal with Saudi Arabia is a done deal.
Stephen Trimble at The Dew Line reports this photo was posted to the Air Force website at 3:31 a.m. on Dec. 28, several hours before the AP wrote the deal was “poised” to be announced by the White House (via @JimmySky).
Within two hours of Trimble’s post the Air Force pulled the image and shut the page.
The deal will include 84 new F-15s and upgrades for 70 more worth a

total of $29.4 billion.
This sale follows a deal made by Congress a year ago for a $60 billion, 10-year arms sale to the Saudis that included 70 Apaches helicopters, 72 Black Hawk helicopters, 36 Little Bird Helos, bombs, delivery systems, radar warning systems, night vision goggles, and a long list of missiles.

And another big sale to Iraq. The US industry needs $$$$$$$ (and jobs).
There is not much danger from the Saudis and Iraqis, as they will not be able to use the weapons without US ‘advisers’ and ‘instructors’ anyway …
