JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia on Monday urged the international community to adopt a united and decisive stand to help the Palestinians get their legitimate rights including an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital on the basis of UN resolutions.
The weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah at Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, also urged the international community to pressure Israel to give up its logic of power, adopting the choice of peace, and accept the establishment of a Palestinian state.
NOTE by the editor: It will need more than a resolution in a regular Shoura Council meeting if we want to mobilize backing for a Palestinian state. What about a little ‘oil embargo’? That should get things moving.
