These days we have the charade of Palestine trying to become a member of the United Nations and Israel and the United States (especially) trying frantically to keep them out. The United States can do it easily with its ‘Veto power’ at the UN Security Council. Personally I do not quite understand why Israel is all that much worried about Palestine’s bid for a full UN membership. It would not change anything in the occupied West Bank. Settlements will go ahead. The hate between the settlers and the dispossessed Palestinians will continue to grow (if that is still possible).
Much better it would be if all the nations of Asia, Africa and Latin America, whether Muslim or otherwise, would jointly decide to LEAVE the United Nations. After all the UN is an example of hypocrisy: They are lecturing the world on democracy and themselves are the most undemocratic institution in the world.
Someone might comment “but the World Health Organization and the World Food Programme (and other such agencies) are doing a good job”. Yes they are. That is why all such International Organizations should also leave the United Nations! Why? Because the political side of the United Nations is mis-using them by on the one hand create ‘good-will’ so that on the other with the Security Council they can undemocratically rule the world.
In this connection please read an article in the Daily Observer of Gambia:
“The United Nations was founded in 1944 after World War II by the allied forces at a time when they were very much flush with their victory. The allied forces included USA, Great Britain, Russia, China, and France.
The UN, like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is an undemocratic and unjust organization. The other two have particularly discriminatory policies and will not allow an African or Asian to head them. Similarly, the allied forces denied Germany, Japan, Africa and Asia from being part of the Security Council as they referred to them as defeated nations.
We all know that the General Assembly is a toothless bulldog as any decision made there can be overturned by the Security Council. The impotence of the General Assembly is reflected in its inability to bring about peace in the DR Congo, Somalia, Darfur, not to mention Iraq. In other words, the UN belongs to the USA and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Despite its pretence of being an independent UN agency, its policies are generally dictated by the US.
Indeed, how can the international community expect only US, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Great Britain and France to have complete monoply over nuclear weapons and to hold the rest of the world to ransom? This is an unacceptable situation. How can the UN deny the rest of the world the opportunity to acquire nuclear knowledge just because Washington, Paris and London feel that this should not be in the hands of the coloured races of the world?”

The united nations as a whole is the most undemocratic institution in the World.
Just the idea that one of them can always veto, no matter , if all the rest of the members want to accomplish something right..
Just look at the palestinian issue.
Israel can do anything, and cannot be admonished no matter how severe their atrocities, no matter how many palestinians suffer, If it is against Israel, it will not be tolerated..
Where is th justice that the united nations should bring in the world?
They are the major cause of bloodshed and strife in the world.
Iraq is an example of the double moral of the UN, but What is the alternative, …there is no alternative. Their is no one in the world at the moment who can stand up to these crooks and warmongers.
So let us pray to Allah(God) for help, because he is the only one who can help us against these bloodthirsty politicians from America, Europe and Asia…
