The September 11 2001 attacks remain controversial throughout the world.
A new poll by the Pew Research Center finds the majority of Muslims from Egypt, Turkey, and the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Indonesia and Pakistan do not believe the 9/11 attacks were carried out by Arabs. The highest rate being in Egypt where 75 percent of Muslims do not believe Arabs were responsible.
The Pew Research Center’s report is titled “Muslim-Western Tensions Persist.” Researchers sought to investigate public attitudes about the relationship between the two global communities and found no more than 28 percent of Muslim respondents in any of these countries believe the attack was carried out by Arabs.
Most Americans believe Osama Bin Laden and Al Quada terrorists are responsible for the 9/11 attacks . But, approximately 1400 verified Architects and Engineers and ten thousand additional supporters have signed a petition demanding a new independent 9 11 investigation. Architects and Engineers for 9 11 truth say the free falling nature in which the buildings fell suggests the destruction was due to explosives. And that planes alone could not have brought down the the world trade center towers.

Authencity of such researches always remain questionable. It reminds me a research carried out in Pakistan where majority of relgious clerics opined 1967 moon landing of US was bogus one. True that few theories are circulating about twin tower attacks but fact remains that it did occur and was carried out by the enemies of humanity.
Regardless of whether the conspiracy theories about 9/11 are true or not; the fact remains that majority of the Muslims are denying, Arab origin of 9/11 according to this poll. This, perhaps, reflects their conscious or unconscious desire or need to distance themselves from acts of terrorism and killing of innocent humans.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has always condemned terrorism and stressed the self reflection aspect of Jihad for the last 125 years.
The poll findings, in my opinion, expose an inner conflict in the psyche of the non-Ahmadi Muslims! Do they unconditionally condemn terrorism or at times, in some subtle ways approve of this tactic, in some circumstances and in some context? It is time for them to reflect and analyse themselves, think beyond 9/11 and reflect on events before and after. Have they in the past, subtly or overtly, supported terrorism, at least for some causes, like Palestine or Kashmir? If so, it is high time for them, to distance themselves from those scholars and leaders, who created such vulnerabilities, in the thoughts of the Muslims, taking away from the sacredness of each and every human life.
I do not even understand how I finished up right here, however I assumed this submit was once good. I don’t recognise who you might be however definitely you are going to a well-known blogger should you aren’t already 😉 Cheers!
