UK: Faith symposium in Lloyd this Friday


What happens when you take five different speakers from different religions, put them on stage at the Vic Juba Community Theatre, and ask the question “Why does God allow suffering?”


This Friday at the theatre,  the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Lloydminster will be hosting a symposium on that theme.

The Interfaith Symposium, which will last two hours, will have five different speakers discuss their religion and why they believe god allows suffering.

The religions that will be represented at the symposium are Christianity, Judaism, Sikhism, Hinduism and Islam.

“Reverend Paul DuVal will be representing Christianity, Mr.Kumar Balachander will represent Hindu Society, Mr. Taha Mustafa will represent Ahmadiyya Muslim views, Mr. Rick Brown will represent Jewish faith and Mr. Amrit Paul will present the Sikhism point of view on the topic,” said event organizer Muzassar Ahmed.

Ahmed said that the symposium is also bringing the religious world together, under one roof for a night.
