A HUDDERSFIELD mosque has welcomed a visit from the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire.

Ingrid Roscoe, the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, visited the mosque in Fitzwilliam Street.

Dr Roscoe chatted with Fatih Ul-haq, president of the Huddersfield South Ahmadiyya Muslim Association and was presented with a holy Qu’ran.

She also met with university students and praised their involvement with the mosque and community.
