Press Release: Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at NZ Inc: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Celebrates 25 years in New Zealand
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at (Community) of New Zealand will be hosting their Silver Jubilee Celebratory Conference this Sunday 24th March at the Mount Eden War Memorial Hall from 11.00 am as the finale of a long list of events that commenced in March 2012.
The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in New Zealand, Mr. Mohammed Iqbal said, “In line with our efforts to promote awareness and understanding of peace, tolerance, love and understanding among all communities, we are inviting guests from all communities and Civic leaders to join us in these celebrations”.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at New Zealand Inc. was established in March 1987 and the registration process completed as an incorporated society on 5 April 1988. As part of the thanksgiving celebration, the community commenced on a 12-month plan of key events across New Zealand, ranging from ‘Feed the Poor Day’, to spreading peace pamphlets to at least 25 percent of New Zealanders, completion and launch of the Holy Qur’an translated in Te Reo Maori and holding a Peace Conference in Auckland.
The community’s Central Missionary, Mr. Shafiq ur Rehman said, “Our community’s existence in New Zealand is a fulfillment of a prophecy conveyed to our Holy Founder, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian, India when Almighty God revealed “I shall cause thy message to reach the corners of the earth”. New Zealand geographically is considered furthest country from where the revelation took place, and therefore we consider this country to be most fortunate in receiving the true message of Islam said Mr. Rehman.

Alhamdolillah, All praise to God Almighty.One is really pleased to read that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, New Zealand, the most distanced far-off land on the western side of Qadian and Rabwah and which is duly regarded as of one of the most beautiful and geographically as a very attractively fascinating countries of the world, is to host its 25th year’s Silver Jubilee Celebratory Conference on March 4, 2013, in Mount Eden Memorial Hall, as the finale of Events that commenced one year ago, in March 2012, by the blessings of God Almighty. Hearty Congratulations to all the Participating brothers and sisters-in-faith and wish them all the more glorious achievements during the blessed patronage and inspiring guidance of His Holiness Khalifatul Masih Al-khamis with the pray that when you celebrate the Golden Jubilee 50 years hence, at least fifty percent of the total population of NZ will be with you and sitting with you in your 50th Jalsa Salana of 2038, as your brothers-in-faith under the lofty banner, ‘LowaeyAhmadiat’ of Hadhrat Aqdus Masih-e-Maud(as), InshaAllah, Wassalam.
Sharing and endorsing the above views about the Silver jubilee Celebrations of The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of New Zealand, scheduled to be held today, on 24 March, 2013, it may be mentioned here that NZ, is geographically located on the Eastern side of Makkah Mokarrama, Madina Munawwara, Qadian darulaman and Rabwah Shareef(alas, now after 60 years of its founding in 1948, the name of Rabwah town was changed as Chenab Nagar by the Pj. rulers of ‘N’ league family). Anyhow, when your esteemed correspondent gives the target of making 50 percent people of NZ as members of the Community of the Promised Messiah by the time of 2038 when it will celebrates its 50 years Golden Jubilee, one feels this target too much high and it be lowered to 33 percent conversion, as initial pass marks target, although God Almighty can help them achieve even 100 percent NZ-landers joining the divinely created Jama’at-e- MasiheMuhammadi(as),InshaAllah, Ameen.
