The Mumbai Majlis organized its Platinum Jubilee Jalsa on Feb 3rd 2013. The event began with Tahajjud prayers held in congregation. As part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations it was decided the entire event of the day including the Tahajjud and Quran Dars would be lead by Khuddam members. We were blessed with the esteemed presence of two distinguished guests from Markaz – Janab Azhar Khadim Sahab, Naib Sadr, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Bharat and Janab Shoaib Asif Sahab. The guests accompanied the Majlis in all the events including the sports events as well.

After Fajr & Dars, the khuddam gathered at near by Girgaon Chowpatti Beach for sports events. Competitions like Running Race, Kabaddi, Tug of war, etc. were held by dividing the entire gathering into groups. There were around 34 members. The events ended at around 10 PM and all returned to the mission house.

The main event of the Jalsa began at around 11 :30 AM. The event was presided over by Jb Sheikh Ishaque Ahmad Sb, Ameer Jamaat Ahmadiyya Maharashtra. In his inaugural address, he stressed the importance of the Tanzeem Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya. Felicitaion speech was given by the cheif guest Jb Azhar Khadim Sb. Naib Sadr, MKA Bharat. Ilmi competitions Tilawat ul Quran, Nazm, taqareer Quiz, memory Testing (for Atfal only) etc were held for both Tifl and Khuddam. Apart from this, musical chair competitions were held for Khuddam & Ansar as well.

The concluding session began around 7 PM in which after tilawat and tarana khuddam-e-ahmadiyyiat.

The Qaid Majlis Mumbai & Zone Jb Ahmedi Taher Ahmad Sb gave a very inspiring and thought provoking speech on the topic of becoming servants of deen. This was followed by a speech from Cheif guest about the need, importance and benefits of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya – both worldly and spiritual.

Prizes were distributed at the end of this session. The Jalsa ended with –Magrib- Isha Prayers. Food and other refreshments were arranged for the attendees throughout.
