The four accused are Ahmadis.
LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has fixed February 7 for arguments on the after-arrest bails of four men accused of publishing allegedly blasphemous books about the Ahmadi faith.
Moeed Ayaz, Asmatullah, Razaullah and Ghulamullah, employees of Black Arrow Printing Press, were arrested on January 7 as they loaded a small truck with thousands of books and CDs. The four accused are Ahmadis. Arrest warrants have been issued for the printing press’s owner, who is at large.
The lawyer for the accused, in their post-arrest bail pleas, said that local police had acted illegally against his clients as they had arrested them on the basis of a call made to 15 before an FIR had been registered, as was evident from the statement of the complainant.
What an ignorance (Age of Jahliat) society of Pakistan.
There is no sin or crime to read or print or keep Quran. Quran is for the whole world for all times, for every one. Similarly, Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) is for all mankind. That means he is also for the Ahmadis. Not only for the maulvis.
Hindus can keep Quran. Sikhs and Christians can keep Quran. So can the Ahmadis. It is an important book for reading. Any one can read it. The reading of the Quran by Ahmadis is not any crime.
The bad law against Ahmadis being non-Muslims is being over applied, misused. Even if Ahmadis are non-Muslims, they can read Quran. The law only applies to them that they should not preach their faith and not declare their faith as Islam.
Reading the Quran is no declaration. It is not any declaration, so no crime.
The maulvis are unduly stepping forward in those matters. None of the restrictions apply on the Ahmadis. Even if they say salaam to any one, it does not mean they are declaring themselves as Muslims.
There is over application of the law on Ahmadis. Only those things are forbidden which are clearly written in the law. The other derived functions are not valid.
1. They cannot call their place of worship as Masjid.=okay.
2. They cannot make a call for prayers,(Azaan)=okay.
3. They cannot say that they are Muslims=okay.
4. They cannot preach their faith as Islam=okay.
5. They cannot ask some one to convert to their faith=okay.
But beyond such things, everything is wrong and illegal. That is overstepping the true application of the law.
Why cannot any judge understand that something seriously wrong is being done in the country??
Well, of course the whole law is not OK. By the way: Ahmadis in Pakistan are not permitted to call their Mosques as MOSQUES. What about if a ‘non-Ahmadi-Muslim’ calls an Ahmadiyya Mosque a Mosque? Does he brake any law? (Just wondering).
Yes absolutely. That is why most TV anchors and newspapers only refer to Ahmadiyya Mosques as “worship places”. That is of course correct because real worship of Allah only happens in these places. All other mosques are “Masajiduhum kharabihum minal huda” according to Holy Prophet ” will be devoid of any guidance”. What a prophecy and great that we are distinguished from the rest.
