Saudi aid for Syrians arrives in Mafraq, Jordan

MAFRAQ — A 62-truck convoy from Saudi Arabia carrying aid for Syrian refugees on Sunday arrived in Mafraq, 80km northeast of Amman.

The trucks, laden with foodstuff and other humanitarian assistance, were dispatched upon Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz’s directives.

The aid will be distributed soon in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation.

Over the past two months, Saudi Arabia has dispatched 2,000 trucks with assistance for Syrian refugees.
