Express Tribune: ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist and anchor, Hamid Mir, escaped an attempt on his life after explosives planted under his car were defused, Geo News reported on Monday.
According to the report, the explosives were in a bag planted under the car. Mir had gone to a nearby market and the bag was discovered by a neighbour’s driver on his return.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in to check the bag.
The bag had half a kilogram of explosive material, which was defused. It also included a battery, a detonator and ball bearings.

The way this man speaks against the atrocities of Khaki brass of Pakistan is sufficient cause for Pak Military to get him eliminated from the scene. Whether he always speaks truth or not is debatable. In any way this does not mean that this voice should be silenced. In depth analysis of his views indicates that he is pro Taliban and has fanatic and extremist approach to certain points. Specially when it comes to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Pakistan he always comes out with extreme ideas which provide sufficient food to extremist to commit atrocities against peace loving members of the AhmadiyyaCommunity. Still his well being is wished and Almighty may protect him and also show him the right path of journalism.

Taliban have owned this and I am pretty much sure you will not conspire it as many people having soft part for these extremist criminals always conspire an act of terrorism to US, India or Israel even though Talibans take the responsibility.
