WikiLeaks News:

WikiLeaks released all emails to and from the Syrian Ministry of Electricity. WikiLeaks has been releasing large batches of the Syria Files daily over the past few weeks, totaling over 215,000 emails.
Scott Horton interviewed Julian Assange’s U.S. attorney Michael Ratner about WikiLeaks being labelled the “enemy”, the current UK/Ecuador standoff over Mr Assange, Bradley Manning’s trial, and more.
Writer and blogger Nozomi Hayase wrote a piece entitled “WikiLeaks and the Anarchistic Roots of Global Uprising” which discusses WikiLeaks in relation to anarchy, the Occupy movement, the Arab Spring, and other topics.

Julian Assange News:

Former UK Ambassador Craig Murray wrote that the UK is not planning to compromise regarding Julian Assange’s asylum, as they just plan to wait for the Ecuadorian elections in February. Mr Murray states that the U.S. is confident President Rafael Correa will be replaced by a pro-U.S. candidate, who then will withdraw Mr Assange’s asylum status.

BBC correspondent Becky Milligan visited the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where she spoke with Ambassador Ana Alban about Julian Assange and his life at the Embassy. She also briefly spoke to Mr Assange, asking him a few questions.
