REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) will issue an edict for Indonesian contingent in London Olympics 2012. The athletes would be given a tolerance during the fasting month, said the Head of Edict Commission of MUI, Hasanudin AF, so they could break the fasting.

“It is possible that MUI to issue an edict, but we must wait for the public demand,” he said on Tuesday. The athletes defending for their countries in Olympics are considered as doing “jihad”.
