RIYADH: An agreement enabling Saudi women to work for private sector companies from their own homes was signed in Riyadh on Monday under the supervision of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC).
The agreement between Glowork, a Saudi led project to empower women, and EXA Information Systems, was signed at the council under the supervision of Haifa Al-Hussaini, head of the women’s section at the CSC.
Glowork has already created more than 2,000 jobs for women on its website in line with the Saudization program.
“The agreement will allow companies to hire women based at home for jobs such as customer services, sales, research and digital marketing, where a very high tech monitoring and performance system will be put in place and training would be provided to both the manager and the respective female employee,” Khalid Alkhudair, founder of Glowork, told Arab News following the signing ceremony.
